The band takes to the stage again highlighting our take on roots, country and swing tunes on the edges of mass popularity.
The 17th annual Christmas Goose concert where 8 singer-songwriters perform original seasonal songs in the round.
I am happy to be participating in the third annual Spirit of Tony Turner award (SofTTie) concert. Joining me on-stage will be two very talented local songwriters - Chris MacLean and Julie Corrigan.
The legendary Duncan Showroom has the best sound on Vancouver Island - a treat for the eyes and ears. Expect an evening of unique arrangements, rich harmonies and instrumentation of swing, jazz, blues, folk & country influenced tunes mixed with Tony originals. $18 adv / $20 door
The Peripheral Visionaries play nearly forgotten but timeless tunes mainly from the '30s, '40s and '50s in the country swing and roots genres including some of Tony originals. Admission is by a suggested $10 donation. Make a dinner reservation for a completely satisfying evening.
The debut of Vancouver's Island's newest trio featuring some of my tunes as well as surprising takes on old gems from the 1930's to 60's. Singer-songwriter and excellent guitarist Shawna Caspi open the show. You gotta be there for the big launch. I will be hosting and playing a workshop on the Grieson Stage to celebrate the songs and life of Pete Seeger. Joining me with be Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer, Helen Austin, Luke Wallace and James Hill & Anne Janelle. Expect lots of audience participation.
I am thrilled to be the featured performer at the Victoria Folk Music Society's weekly coffee house. Joining me will be Arlene Carson on accordion and supporting vocals. As per decades of tradition the 7:30 Open stage will be followed by the feature slot that will start at 9 pm. Admission is a mere $7.00 for folks over 16 and free for all others, including VFMS members.
Along with Sue Averill, I'll be playing tunes for this free public coffee house event.

I am honoured to play alongside previous recipients Greg Kelly and Pat Moore as well as help present the next award for service to the Ottawa folk music community. Award creator Chris White will be the evening's dynamic host.

I'll be sharing the stage with Annie Patterson and Peter Blood, creators of the Rise Up Singing and Rise Again folk songbooks. Guests Ian Robb and The Chalice Choir. Featuring Pete Seeger songs and other tunes from the two songbooks. Net proceeds benefit the work of the Odawa Native Friendship Centre. Tickets are $25.
